A month back my attention was caught by a pleasant sight as I came out from the Cha Bar in Connaught Place, the heart of Delhi, India. I had spent a relaxing afternoon at Cha Bar leisurely browsing through the books at the Oxford Bookstore as I enjoyed cups of my favourite blend of tea offered there.
Fully rejuvenated I climbed down the stairs stepping into the corridors of the middle circle. This is when I noticed the white wall of the corridor, the distinctive feature of Connaught Place, was WHITE…. After all it is a routine thing to see the corridor walls splashed with various hues of reds and browns – the paan spits our men are so adept at aiming straight at the walls and the corners.
The clean wall was such a surprise that I was compelled to stop and admire it…I looked look around to find if this wall was an exception…..BUT NO....I found one more clean wall……and another and another…..what was happening!?
And…then I saw God…
I looked around and saw more Gods… and more clean walls….
I was pleasantly surprised ….but verrrry curious….there had to be some sign….
Wheww….finally found ….the familiar sight….the wall splashed with paan stains...my India!
THE QUESTION :
Ye waali deewar……uss wali deewar se gandi kyun?
Why is this wall not clean as the other one?
THE ANSWER:
IT’s THE WORK OF GOD....GODS!
I could not believe that GODs were more powerful than our Men ….so decided to check out once again after a month…..
A month later- same chaa baar…same corridor…same wall…..
Yippee ….the walls were still clean surviving the test of time…!
NO PAAN STAINS even after a month…
Who saved the walls….was it really you?
Yes now I know it was really YOU ……….GOD YOU ARE GREAT:)
GOD you need to be everywhere …VISIBLE…on each wall …see what happens when even one small area is deprived of your presence….
